Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about studying abroad with Arjaa answered clearly, honestly, and in full.
This company is Oman's premier study abroad consultancy, built specifically for Omani students at every stage. We were founded by Omanis who have lived the international education experience firsthand, and everything we do is tailored to the unique needs, scholarship pathways, and expectations of Omani students.
Most consultancies are generic. Arjaa is different: we are Omani, we understand the scholarship systems (Takatuf, government-sponsored, self-funded), family dynamics, cultural expectations, and the specific challenges Omani students face abroad. Our ambassador network is made up of real Omani students at your target universities.
"Arjaa" operates across both Oman and the UK, giving us a unique dual presence. You can reach us via WhatsApp, phone (+968 72665405 / +44 7879050672), or email at info@arjaaom.com. We work across time zones to ensure Omani families always have someone available.
We offer four core services: University and Country Guidance; Mentoring and Application Support including personal statements, interview prep, deadline management; Scholar Insights and Community; and the Ambassador Programme for students already abroad who want to give back.
Yes this is one of our most valued services. Our mentors work with you one-on-one through every draft, helping you find your authentic voice, structure your story compellingly, and ensure the final document genuinely reflects your potential.
Absolutely. We run mock interviews tailored to your target universities and programmes, coaching you on how to present your motivations, handle challenging questions, and carry yourself with confidence. Our mentors have direct experience with Oxbridge, Russell Group, and US university admissions processes.
Our ambassador network consists of verified Omani students currently studying at universities around the world. When you are seriously considering a particular university, we connect you directly with an Omani student already there giving you honest, unfiltered insights into academic life, social experience, city costs, and cultural adjustment.
Yes. The Takatuf Oman scholarship programme has specific requirements and a competitive process that generic consultancies often misunderstand. We have in-depth expertise navigating Takatuf from identifying eligible universities and programmes to preparing the documentation, personal statements, and interview responses the programme demands.
Arjaa works with all Omani students regardless of funding pathway Takatuf, government-sponsored, or self-funded. For self-funded students, we provide additional support around identifying affordable quality programmes, financial planning, and maximising merit-based scholarships available at universities.
We have deep expertise in the UK (including Oxbridge, Russell Group, and specialist institutions), the USA, and a growing network across Europe, Australia, and Canada. We focus on destinations that have proven most compatible with Omani students' academic goals and cultural comfort.
Simply reach out to us via WhatsApp, our contact form, Instagram DM, or email. We will schedule an initial consultation to understand your academic background, goals, and timeline. From there, we build a personalised plan together. There is no obligation and no pressure.
The earlier the better but it is never too late. Ideally, students begin working with us 12 to 18 months before their intended start date. This allows ample time to research programmes, prepare compelling applications, and navigate scholarship processes without rushing.
Yes. Our commitment does not end when you receive an offer. We support you through the pre-departure process including accommodation, visa, packing, and cultural expectations and through your first weeks on campus. Many of our students stay connected as community members long after they have settled in.
Most Omani students find the transition deeply rewarding academically, personally, and culturally. There is an adjustment period, but with the right preparation and community around you, it becomes one of the most formative experiences of your life. Our ambassador network ensures you do not face that adjustment alone.
In most of our recommended destinations particularly UK cities like London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham halal food is widely available and Muslim communities are well-established. Prayer rooms and Muslim societies exist at virtually every major university. We factor religious and cultural comfort into all our recommendations.
Absolutely and we actively encourage it. We understand that in Omani families, this is a collective decision. We hold family consultations, answer parents' concerns directly, and make sure everyone feels informed and comfortable before and after the student departs.
Our fees are transparent and structured around the level of support you need. We offer flexible packages from initial consultation through to full end-to-end application management. Contact us directly at info@arjaaom.com or via WhatsApp for a clear breakdown no hidden fees, no surprises.
Costs vary significantly by country and lifestyle. In the UK, international tuition typically ranges from £15,000 to £30,000 per year, with living costs adding £12,000 to £18,000 annually. We walk every student through realistic cost projections for their specific shortlist and identify all scholarship and bursary opportunities that could offset these costs.
Yes. Your first conversation with Arjaa is always complimentary. We want to understand your situation, answer your initial questions, and make sure we are a good fit for each other before any commitment is made on either side.
